If you run hiring for a school, you already know the summer math: a stack of new staff, a hard start date, and background checks that have to clear before anyone steps into a classroom. Fingerprinting is one of the few steps in that process you can actually get ahead of — and doing it right the first time is the difference between a smooth first week and a scramble.

Why the timing matters

Oregon school staff — teachers, aides, office staff, coaches, substitutes, and volunteers who work with students — are typically required to pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment. That check runs on fingerprints. A rejected print or a slow submission doesn't just delay paperwork; it can delay a start date. When August fills up, the schools that fingerprinted early are the ones whose people are ready on day one.

Get the whole team done in one visit

The biggest time-saver for administrators is on-site group fingerprinting. Instead of sending each new hire across town on their own schedule, we bring the equipment to your school and print your entire team in a single appointment. One point of contact, one visit, consistent quality on every set of prints — so you're not chasing down individual results from three different locations.

Fast where it counts

As an approved FBI channeler, we return FBI background check results in about 30 minutes. For a whole onboarding cohort, that means results in hand the same day instead of weeks of waiting on the mail.

What we handle for schools

Additional fees may apply and will be discussed during the appointment. Ask about group arrangements for your staff.

A local partner that fits public-sector requirements

Oregon Fingerprinting is an independent provider — not IdentoGO or Fieldprint — so you work directly with us and get a real person who knows your case. We're women- and minority-owned and State of Oregon COBID certified (MBE, WBE, ESB). For districts and schools with supplier-diversity goals, that certification is more than a checkbox. Two limits worth naming up front: we don't offer HAZMAT fingerprinting (for that, contact IDEMIA/IdentoGO) and we don't do SWFT.

How to set it up

Tell us your headcount, what each person needs, and where your school is. We'll schedule an on-site visit — a one-time appointment or a recurring arrangement for ongoing hires and substitutes — at a time that fits your calendar. Every staff member brings a valid government-issued photo ID and any instructions from your district or licensing body, and we handle the rest, correctly the first time.

A few common questions

How fast can our new hires get FBI results?

About 30 minutes. As an approved FBI channeler, we return results the same visit, so onboarding isn't held up waiting on the mail.

Can you fingerprint our whole staff on-site?

Yes. We bring mobile group fingerprinting to your school anywhere in Portland Metro, so your team is printed in one visit. See our Business & Group page.

Are you IdentoGO or Fieldprint?

No. We're an independent, women- and minority-owned provider, State of Oregon COBID certified (MBE, WBE, ESB) — which can support district supplier-diversity requirements.

How much does it cost per person?

FBI Background Check $125, Fingerprint Cards $75 (two included), FDLE Submission $135. Additional fees may apply and will be discussed during the appointment. Ask about group arrangements.
