Your biometric data is encrypted and securely sent to the appropriate receiving agency or authorized provider. It is never sold or shared with unauthorized third parties. Fingerprint images are not kept after successful submission unless required by law. ID scans, signatures and demographic data are kept only as long as necessary or legally required, and never longer than three years unless the law requires otherwise. Data may be shared with FBI Channelers, state background check divisions, regulatory agencies, and authorized employers or licensing bodies only for lawful verification.
