Translated? Now apostille it.

A certified translation gets your document read. An apostille gets it accepted. Most consulates and foreign agencies want both, and the apostille goes on the original. Here's the last step, in plain language.

Quick answer

Oregon or Washington document (birth, marriage, or divorce record, diploma, notarized paper): state apostille, $250 to $450 by speed. FBI background check or other federal document: federal apostille, $350, back in about 2 weeks. Issued in another state: from $250, confirmed per state. Not sure which? Call us and we'll tell you in a minute.

Which apostille does your document need?

It depends on who issued the document, not on the language it's in.

How it works

Bring or upload the original

Keep the translation with it. We'll tell you whether the destination country wants the apostille on the original, the translation, or both.

We check it before it goes anywhere

Wrong authority, missing notarization, unsigned form: those send documents back weeks later. We catch them first.

It comes back ready to use

Federal: about 2 weeks door to door, 2-day shipping included. State: on the timeline you chose. We text you when it ships.

Good to know

  • The apostille authenticates the signature and seal on the document, not the wording of the translation. That's why translation and apostille are two separate steps.
  • Some countries want the translation itself notarized and apostilled too. Tell us the country and we'll tell you.
  • Need the FBI check in the first place? We do the fingerprinting too, with results in about 30 minutes, then apostille it.
  • Need a translation after all? We work with certified translation partners and will point you to one.
